I made this card for the most recent Splitcoast PTI Swap. It took quite a while, and I was inspired by a card by Heather Nichols. I didn't distress it like hers, because I'm STILL afraid of distressing stuff. I know. I know. I need to get over it.
It was Leish's idea to put the daffs in the jar. It wasn't a completely easy feat. I used the stemless flower and drew my own stems. I had to mask one flower and use the handy, dandy Fiskars fingertip knife to cut between the stems. (Did I mention how much I hate using an exacto? But there's something special about that fingertip knife. It's easy to control.) I used Copics to color the daffs and fussy cut everything, since I couldn't figure out how to use the jar and lid die to make my life easier.
All in all, I know this card is a little simple, but I did spend a ton of time coloring and cutting. I hope the swappers aren't disappointed.

Looks great! I love the detail on the edge...the buttons through the twine are so cute!
I LOVE the daffodils in the jar! I am going to order that jar set yet!! :)
It seems like the "simple" cards are always the ones that take up so much time. You did a beautiful job on this! I just had to stare at it for awhile! So pretty.
The flowers work perfectly in that jar! Very cute!
